Writers, Planners, Trainers (WPT) Incorporated was founded in March 2003 as a not-for-profit corporation in the State of Illinois. The agency is governed by a five-member Board of Officers and is proudly African American–led. WPT is deeply rooted in serving the East St. Louis metropolitan area and surrounding communities, with a strong commitment to community development and empowerment.

Governed by a five-member Board of Officers, WPT brings extensive experience in delivering comprehensive HIV prevention initiatives, linkage-to-care services, group prevention and support programs, and referral-based substance abuse and mental health services. The agency is committed to eliminating disparities and ensuring 100 percent access to quality services for all clients.
